Youths for Today & Tomorrow

YOUTHS FOR TODAY AND TOMORROW

Bettering Young Lives

“Youths of today are told they can be anything, yet many are not given the tools to start today. We tell young people to reach their full potential, but potential only grows when there are opportunities to experiment and learn — and, depending on where they’re from, their opportunities can be quite limited.”

SAFER SCHOOLS AND PEACEFUL COMMUNITIES

For many young people, schools have become spaces of fear, stress, and uncertainty. Across Bulawayo, Tsholotsho, and Matobo, schools are facing serious challenges:

To address these issues, YTT launched the Safer Schools and Peaceful Communities project. This initiative is designed to create safer, healthier, and more supportive environments for young people in and out of school.

Harnessing Youth Potential Project – Sustainable Gardens

With climate change threatening livelihoods, YTT created youth gardens as hands-on learning hubs. Using solar-powered irrigation, young people practice smart agriculture, improve nutrition, and learn to run gardens as small enterprises.

These gardens not only provide food but also empower youth to see agriculture as a viable career path.

Where We Work-focus locations

Why These Regions

YTT focuses on Bulawayo, Matobo, and Tsholotsho because these regions face unique challenges that align with the organization’s mission. Bulawayo is an urban center with high levels of youth unemployment and social issues like drug abuse and school violence.

Matobo and Tsholotsho, on the other hand, are rural areas severely affected by climate change, food insecurity, and limited access to health and education services. By targeting these regions, YTT addresses critical gaps in resources and support, empowering youth to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
